Coming Out of the Valleys
The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. 3 And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.”
4 Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6 I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.”’”
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.
9 Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”’” 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.” 10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, “Please bring me a little water in a cup, that I may drink.” 11 And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, “Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.” 12 So she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.” 13 And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. 14 For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’” 15 So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days. 16 The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.

Prevailing Prayer Part 1
Epistle of Joy
Most people define happiness as an attitude of satisfaction or delight base on circumstances beyond their control. Happiness cannot be planned or programmed or guaranteed it is experienced only if and when circumstances are favorable it is elusive and uncertain.
Spiritual joy on the other hand is not an attitude dependent on chance or circumstances it is the deep abiding confidence that regardless of one’s circumstance in life all is well between the believer and the Lord. No matter what difficulty, pain, disappointment, failure, rejection, or other things, nothing can separate us from the love of God!

The Power of the Cross
Drawing Close to God
The Spirit Comes To Our Aid
And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. 6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. 14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?”
Hiding Among The Baggage
20-21 After Samuel got all the tribes of Israel lined up, the Benjamin tribe was picked. Then he lined up the Benjamin tribe in family groups, and the family of Matri was picked. The family of Matri took its place in the lineup, and the name Saul, son of Kish, was picked. But when they went looking for him, he was nowhere to be found.
22 Samuel went back to God: “Is he anywhere around?”
God said, “Yes, he’s right over there—hidden in that pile of baggage.”
23 They ran and got him. He took his place before everyone, standing tall—head and shoulders above them.
Overcoming A Second Class Attitude
-
Daniel in the Lions’ DenDaniel 61 Darius reorganized his kingdom. He appointed one hundred twenty governors toadminister all the parts of his realm. 2 Over them were three vice-regents, one of whom wasDaniel. The governors reported to the vice-regents, who made sure that everything was inorder for the king. 3 But Daniel, brimming with spirit and intelligence, so completelyoutclassed the other vice-regents and governors that the king decided to put him in charge ofthe whole kingdom.4 The vice-regents and governors got together to find some old scandal or skeleton inDaniel’s life that they could use against him, but they couldn’t dig up anything. He was totallyexemplary and trustworthy. They could find no evidence of negligence or misconduct. 5 Sothey finally gave up and said, “We’re never going to find anything against this Daniel unless wecan cook up something religious.”6 The vice-regents and governors conspired together and then went to the king and said,“King Darius, live forever! 7 We’ve convened your vice-regents, governors, and all your leadingofficials, and have agreed that the king should issue the following decree: For the next thirtydays no one is to pray to any god or mortal except you, O king. Anyone who disobeys will bethrown into the lions’ den.8 “Issue this decree, O king, and make it unconditional, as if written in stone like all the lawsof the Medes and the Persians.”9 King Darius signed the decree.10 When Daniel learned that the decree had been signed and posted, he continued to prayjust as he had always done. His house had windows in the upstairs that opened towardJerusalem.Three times a day he knelt there in prayer, thanking and praising his God.11 The conspirators came and found him praying, asking God for help. 12 They wentstraight to the king and reminded him of the royal decree that he had signed. “Did you not,”they said, “sign a decree forbidding anyone to pray to any god or man except you for the nextthirty days? And anyone caught doing it would be thrown into the lions’ den?” “Absolutely,” saidthe king. “Written in stone, like all the laws of the Medes and Persians.”13 Then they said, “Daniel, one of the Jewish exiles, ignores you, O king, and defies yourdecree. Three times a day he prays.”14 At this, the king was very upset and tried his best to get Daniel out of the fix he’d puthim in. He worked at it the whole day long.15 But then the conspirators were back: “Remember, O king, it’s the law of the Medes andPersians that the king’s decree can never be changed.”16 The king caved in and ordered Daniel brought and thrown into the lions’ den. But he saidto Daniel, “Your God, to whom you are so loyal, is going to get you out of this.”17 A stone slab was placed over the opening of the den. The king sealed the cover with hissignet ring and the signet rings of all his nobles, fixing Daniel’s fate.18 The king then went back to his palace. He refused supper. He couldn’t sleep. He spent thenight fasting.19 At daybreak the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. 20 As he approached the den,he called out anxiously, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve soloyally, saved you from the lions?”21 “O king, live forever!” said Daniel. 22 “My God sent his angel, who closed the mouths ofthe lions so that they would not hurt me. I’ve been found innocent before God and also beforeyou, O king. I’ve done nothing to harm you.”23 When the king heard these words, he was happy. He ordered Daniel taken up out of theden. When he was hauled up, there wasn’t a scratch on him. He had trusted his God.24 Then the king commanded that the conspirators who had informed on Daniel be throwninto the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. Before they hit the floor, the lions hadthem in their jaws, tearing them to pieces.25 King Darius published this proclamation to every race, color, and creed on earth: Peaceto you! Abundant peace! 26 I decree that Daniel’s God shall be worshiped and feared in allparts of my kingdom. He is the living God, world without end. His kingdom never falls. His rulecontinues eternally. 27 He is a savior and rescuer. He performs astonishing miracles in heavenand on earth. He saved Daniel from the power of the lions.28 From then on, Daniel was treated well during the reign of Darius, and also in thefollowing reign of Cyrus the Persian.I love this story, about Daniel in the Lions Den.There was conflict and jealousy and envy because of verse 3, “But Daniel, brimming with spiritand intelligence, so completely outclassed the other vice-regents and governors that the kingdecided to put him in charge of the whole kingdom.”Did you read that, but Daniel brimming with the spirit and intelligence so completely outclassedthe others!God wants to anoint you and have you outclass everyone else. The problem is we want to be average and God wants us to be excellent.1. Personal relationship with Jesus Christ will cause you to succeed where others fail.2. To maintain success you must be a person of faith.3. To have the God kind of success you must be a person a prayer.4. You must trust God, in those hard places where it seems impossible, there is where Goddoes his best work5. So don’t be afraid through open the windows of possibilities Trust God, go to him, seekHimAnd watch God do his best work through prayer and praise. Finally believe God to do more than you have ever believed before and I promise you will never be disappointed.God bless you!
